Well i'd given up checking for updates :P

My addendums: Look at the player out column for the main clubs, theres a fair bit of turnover this year, crespo, duff, gallas?, gudjonsson, del horno, thats a fair bit to lose and they havent signed that many people have they? Also campbell, pires and bergkamp missing for arsenal, ok db didnt play too much but they will all be missed. Be interesting in the winter when injuries suspensions and 3 matches a week starts biting.
Henry is due a lay-off as well.

In mid-table i think this years promoted clubs are poorer than last years. The same faces will be fighting for UEFA cup places. The relegation fight could well be another 3-4 clubs adrift from early on although some big clubs have made poor starts too.

of the contenders i think that man utd will push chelsea hard, with Liverpool being a distant third and Arsenal fighting Everton for 4th.

Come on the Toffees!!

My List of Best teams would contain Germany who i believe are building nicely. Also i think Ghana look a good side and could surprise the USA to go through in that group at the expense of the Czechs or Italians.

Undecided about Holland, they have done enough and look like they may have more to come but I need to see them being tested. Tonights match against Argentina should answer some questions.

In fact, not sure that Group C was the group of Death, rather think that moniker may in hindsight be attached to Group E, we'll see if Ghana can forced a fancied European side out of the competition.

Spain impressed me after the second matches, I wasnt sure about their 4-0 win over Ukraine, however it turns out they are not such a bad team so was a good result. THeir win over tunisia was more impressive as they came back from being behind at HT and they had options on the bench which changed the game. I would seriously think about keeping the side they finished with for the knock-out stages, Fabregas looked a class act alongside Alonso.

Totally agree with your comments, in fact you saved me a job :)

Poland - its no good hitting the woodwork twice in the last 5 mins after being 2-0 down and rubbish for the previous 85.

I reckon Ecuador could well be the second team to the last 16, Costa Rica look good going forward but Ecuador look to have the better defence.

Am a bit nervous about tomorrow now, maybe Paraguay are better than we give them credit for.

Can’t wait for Argentina V Ivory Coast either. Could be one of the best games, but who will be sober enough to remember it?

Talking of which nice to see that on day 1 “our boys
