Before the rest of todays games kick off, I shall do some quick predictions for them:
Arsenal vs Charlton: In recent games Arsenal have looked rejuvenated, and I can’t see Charlton having any chance of a result here, especially with their FA Cup tie in midweek. My Prediction: 3-0 Arsenal.
Blackburn vs Middlesbrough: If Blackburn are after the 4th Champions league spot, then this is the sort of match that they need to win. ‘Boro have been on good form recently, and having reached the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup midweek, and with a FA Cup match at Charlton this week, may not put 100% of their effort in here. My Prediction: 2-1 Blackburn.
Bolton vs Sunderland: Having lost to West Ham in the FA Cup on wednesday, Bolton can now concentrate solely on their league position, and trying to return to europe next season. Sunderland have looked poor all season, and even with their managerial shuffling, I cannot see their situation improving. My Prediction: 2-0 Bolton.
Man City vs Wigan: With Man City still in the FA Cup, their priorities may be elsewhere here, as their next match is just over 48hours away. Wigan can still sneak into the european positions, which would be outstanding for their first season in the top flight. My Prediction: 2-1 Wigan.
WBA vs Man Utd: Man Utd are the premierships inform team currently, having taken 15 points from their last 6 games, and I cannot see a struggling WBA side really getting in their way of 3 more points here. My Prediction: 3-1 Man Utd.
West Ham vs Portsmouth: Portsmouth’s late win last weekend will have given them some hope of safety, and against West Ham, who still have a chance of silverware this season, they have a good chance for 3 more points. However they have struggled away from home, and West Ham also have a chance of a european spot in the league. My Prediction: 1-1.
Birmingham vs Spurs: Birmingham will be missing some key midfielders here with David Dunn, Jiri Jarosik, Muzzy Izzet and Julian Gray all missing, and Jermaine Pennant struggling. Spurs are on a poor run of form currently, and will be hoping that they can improve that here. My Prediction: 2-1 Spurs.
Fulham vs Chelsea: Fulham are really struggling at the moment, so a visit from their near neighbours is possibly the worst thing they want. Chelsea may have been struggling recently, but I don’t think Fulham have much of a chance here. My Prediction: 3-0 Chelsea.
Newcastle vs Liverpool: Both teams are involved in FA Cup ties this week, and especially in Newcastles case, I think they may rest key players. Liverpool had a resounding victory in midweek, and with their strikers sundenly discovering where the goal is, they will be hoping to continue the goal scoring here. My Prediction: 2-2.
You got 7 correct results and 2 correct scorelines. You must still be hungover!
Can’t believe you had Chelsea to win though, they’re rubbish!
Newcastle WISH they could rest key players, most of them are resting in the treatment room, on the other hand maybe resting Boumsong would have been good not only for midweek but for Sunday’s game as well.
